Ingredient glossary




-  Algae: marine algae are a gigantic reservoir of mineral elements, trace elements, vitamins and organic components. They purify and stimulate while promoting a better cutaneous penetration of biologically active substances which tone such as trace elements which are very important for all the metabolisms.

- Alginic Complex:  natural polysaccharide extracted from seaweeds, it is rich in alginic acid, one of the main components of fucus, its localised cutaneous affinity gives it a lipolytic as well as moisturising action.

- Aloe Vera:  has been used since ancient times to treat burns. This tropical plant rich in amino-acids, vitamin A, B, C, E, and minerals is anti-inflammatory, healing, softening, soothing and revitalising.

- Alpha Bisabolol:  one of the components of the chamomile flower, it is anti-inflammatory, soothes irritation and helps the natural repairing process.

- Anti-Stress Complex:  delesseria sanguinea (red algae), its anti-oxygenating minerals, amino acids, oligo-saccharides, proteins and vitamins, tone, revitalise, restructure, stimulate the cellular activity, detox,  regenerate, hydrate and balance the skin.

- Aosa:  green algae growing in cold seawater, very rich in elastic fibres which composition in amino acids is very similar to elastin (lysine, proline), it helps to regenerate supporting cells and tissues. Its proteins build up the collagen and elastic fibres, its amino acids help oxygenate the cells and its mineral salts, in particular magnesium,  restructure,  repair and control hydration.

- Biological Extracts:  proteins and polypeptids. Main components and regulator of the cutaneous functions, they activate cellular oxygenation, energise the exchanges between the cutaneous cells and their environment, stabilise the pH, heal and reinforce the hydration of the skin.

- Bio-Peptidic Complex:  it is the perfect anti-ageing to restructure, firm and smooth the epidermis.

- Bioregulator of the sebaceous secretion:  it is an inhibitor of the enzyme  responsible for hyper-seborrhoea. Rich in pyridoxin, sulphur-peptides and vitamin B, it regulates the sebaceous secretions, purifies the skin and makes it matt.

- Biostimulins:  biological synergy between proteic peptides and amino acids with a very high hydrating and healing power. They maintain the skin at an optimum hygrometric level, increase the metabolisms, improve the skin suppleness and protect against external aggressions.
 
- Borage Oil:  softening, anti-wrinkle and balancing, it is very rich in gamma-linolenic acid-vitamin F-(20 %), the most important element to fight against skin dryness and protect cell membrane. Rich in vitamin A, D, E and K, it regenerates, nourishes, tones and gives suppleness to the skin.

- Calendula:  extracted from marigold, calendula acts on the blood capillaries, reinforcing them.. It contains beta-carotene which softens, is antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. Calendula decongests and tone hyper sensitive and blotchy skins and balances congested, oily and acneic skins.

- Chamomile:  the vegetable extract of Chamomile is decongestive.

- Carrot Oil:  rich in pro-vitamin A and vitamin E, it softens, regulates the lipids and controls the sebaceous function.

- Cassia Angustifolia:  accelerates the repairing of the skin, long term moisturiser, its has a similar moisturising action to hyaluronic acid. It protects the skin and  gives it softness and suppleness.

- Ceramides:  these fatty agents fix the water, fight against skin irritation, strengthen the repairing and water keeping abilities of the stratum corneum and have a great affinity with the cellular membrane.

- Chitin:  marine hydrophilic polymer. Softening and film forming, it takes part in the regulation of the trans cutaneous water evaporation.

- Cucumber:  the vegetable extract of cucumber hydrates.
 
- Coralina officinalis:  Coralline has a vaso-constrictor activity. Apart from this micro-blood circulation activity, it is hyper concentrated in stimulating trace-elements : Iron, Zinc, Magnesium, and in regenerating peptidic fragments and amino-acids.
 
- Corn and Sunflower Oils:  selected for their high content of vitamins A, B, E, F, P, and for their incomparable compatibility with the skin, they are nutritious, protective, revitalising and regenerative.

- Delesseria Sanguinea:  red seaweed, its anti-oxidant mineral salts, amino-acids, proteins and vitamins tone, revitalise, stimulate the cellular activity, detox, restructure, hydrate and balance the skin.

- hp:  Highly polymerised, integral.

- hp DNA:  is a DNA that has kept all its properties to increase the revitalisation, regeneration of the tissues, trap free radicals, fight against ageing, hydrate and protect the skin against the short UV rays, allow the melanin to spread evenly and control the sebum secretion.

- Essential Oil of Cistus:  its healing and astringent power  marks it to be  a natural component of firming ant toning treatments.

- Essential Oil of Geranium Bourbon:  skin toner, regenerator and anti-wrinkles, it promotes cell renewal. Astringent and antiseptic, it is convenient for oily skins and open pores. Its fragrance has a real action on our mood.

- Essential Oil of Everlasting:  anticoagulant and  fluidifying through its b-dicetones and coumarines. It is very active and its action is reinforced when it is associated with Lavender and Rosemary.

- Essential Oil of Laurel:  this cutaneous anti-infectious increases the regenerating process of the epidermis when associated with Essential Oil of Tea tree and is immuno-stimulating of cutaneous affections with Essential Oil of Petitgrain. Associated with Essential Oil of Sage it is healing and lipolytic properties.

- Essential Oil of Lavender:  its calming properties are increased by the presence of coumarines. It is anti-inflammatory, healing and regenerating. The association with Essential Oils of Everlasting and Rosemary is remarkable in case of bad capillary blood circulation.

- Essential Oil of Lemon grass-Cymbopogon Citratus:  it not only has anti-inflammatory properties, but is excellent for regenerating and firming the skin.

- Essential Oil of Feverfew:  matricaria or German chamomile is an excellent anti-inflammatory very rich in a-bisabolol and a-bisabolone oxyde. Its calming and de-traumatizing azulenes give it its blue colour.

- Essential Oil of Palma Rosa -Cymbopogon Martinii:  excellent for draining the lymph system, it is very interesting in products aimed at eliminating cellulite. It has a delicious fragrance.

- Essential Oil of Petitgrain: Bitter orange:  cell and skin regenerator, it is antiseptic and, combined with geranium, anti-acne. In aromatherapy, it is a relaxant and a de-stress.

- Essential Oil of Rosemary:  this fresh, young and fluid essential oil is the most efficient when associated. It is an excellent blood circulation toner in association with Essential Oil of Everlasting.

In combination with Essential Oil of Sage it eliminates fatty deposits and cellulite.

- Essential Oil of Sage-Salvia Officinalis-:  combined with Essential Oil of Rosemary it helps to eliminate fatty deposits and cellulite and stimulates the blood circulation.

Combined with Essential Oil of Laurel, it regenerates skin cells, gives vitality to the basal layer of the skin and has a very interesting effect on stretch marks.

 - Essential Oil of Sandalwood:  antiseptic, anti-bacterial, astringent, it is excellent against acne when it is combined with Essential Oil of Geranium Bourbon. It is used in aromatherapy as an anti-stress, in order to reduce nervous tension.

- Essential Oil of Tea Tree:  this prevalent anti-infectious Essential Oil has a predominant large spectrum anti-bacterial action and great antiseptic virtues. In association with Essential Oil of Laurel, it is especially adapted to acne.

- Essential Oil of Wild Carrot Seeds:  this remarkable cell regenerator vitalises the basal layer of the skin and has a great affinity with wheat germ oil in its anti-free radicals action.

- Essential Oil of Ylang Ylang:  it has a tonic and regenerating action on the skin. It is a flowery and exciting essence which has a tendency to put in a good mood.

- Evening Primrose Oil:  very rich in Vitamin F, rich in vitamin A, E, D and K and insaponifiables (1-2%), it is hydrating, regenerative, revitalising, nourishing, anti-ageing, restructuring and a sebo-regulator. It restores the barrier function of the skin and is excellent for dry, devitalised skins.

- Firming Complex:  extracted from soy, it improves the firmness and the texture of the skin, helps maintaining the connective tissue and tones the skin.

- Firming Plant Compound:  three plants with a synergistic action: walnut and medlar have a toning and astringent action which brings cutaneous firming, centella asiatica stimulates the synthesis of collagen which restructures and restores tone and elasticity to the skin.

- Hawthorn:  Hawthorn extract decongests and tones.

- Hyaluronic Acid:  as it is able to retain 300 times its own weight in water, it is one of the most powerful hydratants known and used to tone elastic fibres. It is obtained by bio-technology.
 
- Hyper-Protein Tensor Complex:  from wheat proteins, it forms a smooth, resistant, elastic and continuous film on the surface of the skin. It induces an immediate and long lasting lifting, firming and hydrating effect.

- Iniferin:  this natural complex is a combination of milk proteins. Powerful enzyme it controls free radicals responsible for the destruction of bio-molecules leading to cutaneous ageing.

- Jojoba Wax:  non oily wax, it is a non comedogenic cutaneous conditioner with exceptional hydrating and toning qualities. Nourishing, protective and softening, it is rich in pro-vitamin A, vitamin E and anti-ageing vitamin C. It controls the transepidermial breathing and hydration together with a photo protection of the skin.
 
- Laminaria Seaweeds:  are used in thalassotherapy for treating localised excess of fat and cellulite. They stimulate the body’s general metabolism restoring and increasing the mineral content of the cells by osmosis.

- Lightening Complex:  essentially plant compound with natural molecules, it acts as tyrosinase inhibitor and stops the synthesis of melanin.

- Lipoproteins:  true biological conditioner, they balance the pH.

- Lotus:  these anti inflammatory flowers control inflammations of the pilo-sebaceous follicle and soothe irritation.

- Macadamia Oil:  its amazing fluidity gives it an exceptional power of penetration : the skin does not stay greasy after it has been applied and is immediately more supple.

It is an important oil which possesses certain virtues for regulating the lymphatic and circulatory systems.

- Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate:  it is hydrolysed by an enzyme present in the body -phosphatase- which transforms it into native Vitamin C immediately usable by the skin. This true reserve of energy will immediately energise the skin, reactivate its natural metabolic reactions, boost its hydration and give it radiance.

- Marine Diatoms:  absorbent, purifying and stimulating, rich in silica, they provoke a light vaso-dilatation followed by a vaso-constriction. This actionèreaction allows a better penetration of the active ingredients followed by a stimulation of the cutaneous metabolism.

- Moisturising Complex:  its composition -chitin, hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5- allows it to control the physiological flow of water.
 
- NMF:  Natural Moisturising Factor. Hydrating and softening agent.

- Peptidic Complex:  this anti-ageing complex protects the elastic fibres, increases the synthesis of elastin, reinforces hydration and gives elasticity to the skin.

- Peptides of Elastin:  they help the regeneration of the tissues, tone, repair and firm them. They have a preventing action on the cutaneous ageing as well as on the stretch marks.
 
- Plant Oils:  vegetable oils are extremely interesting because they are exceptionally compatible with human sebum. They soften, protect and bring natural vitamins which reinforce and regenerate the skin.
 
- Proteic Complex:  it covers the nutritional requirements and helps maintain the cellular functions of the skin, activates cell repairing, heals, increases the cellular breathing and controls the pH.

- Pro-Retinol:  not sensitive to light, it is transformed inside the skin into  100% pure and active Retinol-vitamin A-essential regenerative which repairs, stimulates the synthesis of collagen, plays a fundamental part in maintaining the skin in good condition and reinforces its elasticity.

- Spirulina:  blue-green micro-algae growing naturally in fresh tropical waters, it is very rich in proteins (70%) to restore, repair the skin and to build up collagen and elastic fibres, in Vitamins A, B9, B12 and E to stimulate and maintain both the cells and the metabolisms, to protect the skin against ageing, in Vitamins B 9 and B 12 to give vitality to connective tissue and in Vitamin E to stimulate and regenerate the cells.

Spirulina is also very rich in Essential Fatty Acids and Mineral Salts -phosphorus, iron (which helps to oxygenate the cells thus firming and preventing wrinkles from appearing), magnesium, manganese and zinc- which play a role in all the enzymatic activities and stimulate the metabolisms.

- St John Wort:  antiseptic and decongesting vegetable extract.

-Tea:  green tea is toning and astringent. It fights against skin slacknes and puffiness. More, it is rich in Vitamin P which stimulates the micro-blood circulation and fights against the dark circles when applied around the eyes.

- Lime Tree:  the extract of Lime Tree is calming.

- Vitamins:  vitamins are essential to the organism. They are essential to prevent the ageing of the tissues and help the skin to restore its tone, its freshness and its luminosity.

- Vitamin A:  plays a fundamental part in maintaining the skin in good condition, stimulates cellular activity, enhances healing, regenerates, fights against the thickening of the skin and gives elasticity to the skin and protects it.

- Vitamin B5:  stimulating and repairing, it activates the cells involved in the different phases of healing, helps the skin to conserve its hydration, is essential in the preservation and repair of cells and tissues, improves the suppleness and elasticity of the skin.
 
- Vitamin C:  reserve of energy, it possesses extraordinary anti-ageing properties. It participates in the formation and the repairing of structures rich in connective tissue, reinforces skin firmness, traps free radicals, stimulates the biosynthesis of collagen and elastin, acts on the micro-blood circulation, repairs damage caused by UV, delays the appearance of pigmentation blotches, maintains the equilibrium of the hydrolipidic film, restores elasticity to the skin, firming and toning it and has an action on proteoglycans which, with collagen, are one of the main components of intercellular matter.

Its anti-ageing action is enhanced and optimised by vitamins A and E.

- Vitamin D:  it helps cellular regeneration, softens and firms the skin.
 
- Vitamin E:  its main function is to be an anti-oxidant, therefore an anti-ageing. It protects the cellular membranes against free radicals, protects Vitamin A in the tissues, governs the energetic metabolism of the glucids, regulates the development of the epidermis, protects the tissues against aggressive substances in the environment, reduces the damage caused by the UV rays and fights against cutaneous dryness. Its action is enhanced and optimised by vitamin C.

 - Vitamin F:  gamma-linolenic acid, it is the most important vitamin to repair and protect the cellular membrane, fight against the dryness of the skin and protect it.

- Vitamin P:  it stimulates micro-blood circulation and strengthens the blood capillaries.

- Wheat Germ Oil:  the richest in anti-free radicals and anti-oxydating Vitamin E, restructuring, hydrating and protecting unsaponifiable and in  pro-vitamin A.

It contains proteins and polysaccharides, vitamins B, PP and is one of the most important source of magnesium which grant a good hydration and healing of the tissues.

- Wheat Proteoglycans:  they are involved in cellular communication, stimulate the cells and their metabolism, protect the fibres of elastin and collagen, accentuate the firmness and tone of the skin, have an immediate tightening effect, ensure cutaneous plasticity and suppleness.

- White Lupin:  it triggers the synthesis of structural proteins, stimulates spontaneous protection of the epidermis and protects against the harmful effects of the sun : erythema, dehydration and skin ageing.

- Wild Pansy:  toning vegetable extract.

- Yeasts:  antiseptic, they are rich in calming, healing and revitalising vitamin B, trace elements and amino-acids.
